Adopted man tracks down biological mom - falls in love

13 June 2016, 17:37

Abuja - A man who was out up for adoption at the age of five has revealed how he fell in love with his biological mother after tracking her down.

According to the UK Metro, Shane Burke has told the story of how he became attracted to his mother after they met through Facebook.

Rose Bestall, Shane's mother, claims that she was forced to give up her son for adoption after she gave birth to him at the age of 15.

Following her reunion with her son, Rose admits to facing a "massive dilemma" upon hearing Shane confess to being in love with her.

"I knew Shane’s feelings were completely inappropriate, but I had searched for him for so long and I didn’t want to push him away again.

"I told him I loved him unconditionally as his mum but our relationship could never be anything else," Rose told People.

Shane has disclosed that he may have been suffering from genetic sexual attraction - a condition which causes a person to become sexually attracted to a relative after meeting them for the first time as an adult.

Shane has since accepted Rose as his mother, claiming that he loves her as a mom and nothing more.
