Kilifi - A British man is reportedly in intensive care unit (ICU) after he was petrol-bombed by a group of suspected squatters in Kilifi County, Kenya.
The suspects hurled a petrol bomb inside his car and left him to burn.
The incident happened on Saturday during a protest against white landowners in the region.
David Taylor, whose family was reported to have lived in Kilifi for over a century, sustained severe burns and was currently admitted at the Mombass Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
The Star reported that the attack came just a few hours after police destroyed houses owned by squatters who have encroached on Taylor neighbour’s land.
According to Standard, the protesting squatters also tried to burn down a hotel under construction after attacking Taylor.
Such racially-motivated attacks had not been reported in the country before.
