Groom left shocked after 'pregnant bride' turns out to be a man

08 June 2016, 21:35

Abuja - A forlorn groom has been left shocked and horrified after discovering that his allegedly pregnant wife is, in fact, a man.

According to a report by the Shanghaiist, the man met his lover online and was reportedly ecstatic when he received news that his "girlfriend" was allegedly pregnant.

Things took an unexpected turn for the worst, however, when the bride disappeared just three days after the wedding.

Taking with her gifts and valuables, the woman seemed to have vanished into thin air.

Following shortly after the incident, a woman was reported to police to have allegedly extorted money from a man via a dating website.

Upon luring the alleged con artist to a nearby internet cafe, police were shocked to find that the woman was in fact a man who had been catfishing Chinese natives in order to procure quick money.

The suspect allegedly informed police that he had managed to fool 11 men and had extorted hefty sums from each one.

The suspect now faces a number of charges, including a charge of theft, World Wide Weird News reports.
