Imam suspended after 'pieces of cucumber' are found in his rectum

01 July 2016, 14:26

Abuja - An imam has been suspended after a hospital visit revealed that "piece of cucumber" had been found in his rectum, the UK Metro reports.

The unidentified 39-year-old Turkish man had previously been taken to hospital following complaints of abdominal pain and bleeding.

Doctors reportedly found that bleeding had occurred in the man's anus and rectum, which was later revealed to have been caused by a "foreign object" having been found in the man's rectum.

Reports later surfaced, however, revealing that the man had actually had broken pieces of cucumber caught in his anus, RT reports.

A member of the Istanbul Chamber of Doctors' Human Rights Commission, Ardil Bayram ahin, has since lashed out at the suspension, stating that such practices may cause people to seek medical help in cases where sexual practices may have been a cause of dsitress.
