07 February 2016, 11:00

Lagos - A US man was rescued by the police after he locked himself in the boot of his car, only to have the police arrest him for marijuana possession.

Sun Sentinel reports that the Sheriff Deputy in Monroe County, Seth Hopp, responded to a tip off about a suspicious looking vehicle.

Hopp then found the 1997 Lincoln Continental with the doors standing open and knocking coming from the trunk.

When the man, Rob Moore, 32, said he cannot get out, the police helped him, opening the trunk.
