Mom sues son over his death in a car crash

04 July 2016, 14:17

Abuja - A mother has allegedly filed a lawsuit against her dead son after he caused her psychiatric injury after dying in a car crash, the UK Metro reports.

The woman, Iman Homsi, has claimed to have not worked since suffering a severe psychiatric reaction after receiving news of her son's death.

Suing for mental anguish, Homsi's case was thrown out of court after the presiding judge stated that she was not at the scene of the accident to witness the death and she was therefore not an immediate victim of the crash.

Homsi's son, Mahmoud Homsi, is said to have passed away in a fatal crash in June 2010 after he was caught driving on the wrong side of the road.

Homsi's daughter Jaiyaa also died in the crash while his wife was left with severe internal injuries in Melbourne, Australia.
