Older men 'twice as likely to have heart attacks' from regular sex

Abuja - A report has revealed that men who frequently engage in sexual activity past the age of 57 are almost twice as likely to suffer from a heart attack, the UK Metro confirms.

For women in the same age group, the opposite proved to be true, with those having "extremely physically pleasurable" sex session being prone to better health, with a further 47 per cent lower risk of developing high blood pressure.

According to Dr Hui Liu, the professional in charge of a study looking into this phenomenon, older men should consider having regular heart checks conducted on them if they wish to stay active between the sheets.

The danger in sex after the age of 57 in men has been chalked up to the likelihood of orgasm being much more difficult in old age, thereby stressing the cardiovascular system in a bid to reach the illusive "O".
