Pastors, husband beat wife up in Church

06 October 2016, 09:46

Abuja - A report has surfaced of a woman having been beaten into submission after she refused to attend a new church, Naij reports.

Facebook user Patricia Uju circulated the story online this week and has since created waves across cyberspace after she revealed how a woman was ill treated because she did not want to change churches.

The victim, Christine Mueni, is a devout Catholic who was requested by her husband, George Makori, to transport him to the Bethsaida Church in Kenya.

When she voiced her dissatisfaction on the matter, Mueni is alleged to have been beaten into submission within the confines of the church by her husband and two pastors, namely Pastor Maxwell Mugendi Omari and Bishop Timothy Migwi.

A trial is set to begin shortly to address the matter.
