Popular pastor admits to having multiple sexual affairs

23 May 2016, 07:28

Abuja - A popular Nigerian pastor has found himself caught in a whirlwind sex scandal, after admitting that he has had sex with between 20 and 30 women from his congregation.

According to a Naij report, Pastor Sunday Adelaja of the Embassy of God in Kiev, Ukraine, has admitted to having multiple affairs with female congregants from his church, despite being married.

The scandal is said to have erupted when some of the women let word slip to other pastors in the area, causing an outcry among the communities in which they live.

Adelaja's mistresses have claimed that he used various techniques of manipulation, including flattering words and using his position of power within the church to get his own way.

Adelaja, who has previously denied any wrongdoing, has since been unfrocked and removed from all parish activities, according to the Russian Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith (ROSHVE).
