WATCH: UN’s 2015 Year in Review

Lagos - The United Nations has released a video featuring the points that the organisation dealt with in 2015 as well as the struggles worldwide - including the Boko Haram attacks in Nigeria.

In 2015, the UN celebrated its 70th anniversary and revised their goals. The organisation also united leaders from all over the world to work together to stop Ebola, prevent temperature rise regarding the climate, and to attempt to end poverty.

The video focuses on various topics such as ISIL and other Islamic terrorist group’s reign of terror, Obama and Putin’s different approaches to handling terrorism, the Morocco Peace Talks, the Myanmar election, and the Paris Negotiations. 

About Nigeria, the video has the following to say: “Waves of terror hit Nigeria, where Boko Haram has killed more than 20.000 people in the last 6 years. Two and a half million people either fled across borders or are homeless in their own country.”
