Nairobi - Doctors at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) have successfully removed a knife planted on Fatuma Ibrahim’s cheek by her husband on Thursday.
It is alleged that the knife planted on the cheek of the 32-year-old Wajir woman in a domestic row had already cut through her skull, making it hard for doctors at the nearest Wajir hospital to help due to lack of sufficient facilities.
She was however airlifted to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) by AMREF Flying Doctors by evening, where she has been receiving medical attention.
Fatuma also sustained injuries on the thigh, abdomen and arms during the incident, Daily Nation reports.
Her husband has already been arrested and will be arraigned in court Friday.
